How are social media changing the way we see ourselves, create art, and understand the world? Inspired by the themes of Famehungry, the award-winning performance by Louise Orwin, this live podcast recording brings Louise together with local artists, academics, and content creators to explore the promises and pressures of life online.
From influencer culture and digital identity to creativity, visibility, and the impact of social media on young people, the conversation aims to analyze how our relationship with the internet is reshaping culture today and what happens when everything becomes "content." Recorded in front of a live audience, the event will be open to participation from attendees, who will be able to ask questions, share their experiences, and join the debate.
About the performance Famehungry
Performed simultaneously in a theater and on TikTok Live, Famehungry questions how social media is reshaping our sense of identity, work, value, and visibility; what this means for artists working outside the mainstream; and how we deal with the lingering suspicion that social media is distracting us from the apocalypse! It will be presented at the 29CIF on October 24, 30, and 31. Check the program for details.
